With over eighteen (18) years of professional experience working with the Government of Dominica in various capacities, I believe I have acquired the necessary skills to excel in this position.
Throughout my career the role Economist and that of Budget Controller at the Ministry of Finance, I have acquired the relevant skills and knowledge particularly as it relates to the budgeting and finance aspects of the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica. In addition, I have had the opportunity to work with various donor agencies, regional and international in developing sector plans and strategies for the development of the country policies and programmes. These experiences have equipped me with a deep understanding of efficient financial management which will greatly assist me in performing my duties.
Additionally, my recent role as Chief Technical Officer at the Ministry of Tourism, allowed me to develop the necessary skills as it relates to project planning, monitoring and appraisal which have afforded me the opportunity to work directly with a regional organization for the formulation of tourism projects. With responsibility of the Eco- Tourism sites and working alongside the Forestry department gave me the opportunity to always ensure that all eco-tourism sites are up to standard for locals and visitors alike
Provide support to the Resilience Unit (Former Climate Resilience Execution Agency Office CREAD)
- Analyses and reviews the annual expenditure and revenue estimates
